The Olympic Games, or Olympics, are an international multi-sport event taking place every four years which comprises of summer and winter games. Though the first ancient games were held in 776 B.C, the modern games started from 1896.The unity of the 5 continents is shown on the Olympic flag by five colorful intertwined rings of red, blue, green, yellow, and black, created by Baron Pierre de Coubertin to represent atleast one color of the participating country’s national flag.

Biathlete Eirik Kvalfoss earned a complete set of medals. Twin brothers Phil and Steve Mahre took first and second place in the slalom. The highlight of the figure skating competitions was the free dance performance of Jane Torvill and Christopher Dean.
 
Jayne Torvill et Christopher Dean mesmerized the audience with their interpretation of Maurice Ravel's Bolero. The judges awarded them 12 scores of 6.0 out of 18 marks, including across the board perfect scores for artistic impression. In that Sarajevo 1984 year GDR, German Democratic Republic, from 1955 to 1990, GDR achieved good position with hard working. They got 9, 9, 6 medals respectively Gold, Silver, Bronze in that specific year.
