The Olympic Games, or Olympics, are an international multi-sport event taking place every four years which comprises of summer and winter games. A new figure skating event, ice dancing, was added to the programme and, like the pairs, it was dominated by Russian couples. The most memorable image of the Games was Franz Klammer flying wildly down the downhill course, barely keeping control, on his way to a gold medal.
 
John Curry's style emphasized grace and artistic expression over athleticism. In the course of the Games, he supplemented his natural elegance with dynamic jumps. The judges awarded him the highest points total in the history of men's figure skating. In that Innsbruck 1976 year USSR achieved good position with hard working. They got 13, 6, 8 medals respectively Gold, Silver, Bronze in that specific year.
