Wendy Turnbull was an Australian professional female tennis player. She was born on November 26th, 1952 in Brisbane, Australia. Her height is 5 foot 4 inches. She is a right-handed player. She professionally returned in 1975 and retired in 1989. She reached 1981 and 1984 Australian Open semi finals, 1982 and 1983 quarter finals, 1984 U.S. Open semi finals, 1986 quarter finals and the 1981 Wimbledon quarter finals. She was nicknamed as rabbit for her quickness afoot.
 
She won the bronze medal in the Women's Doubles at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul. In her career she won 13 singles titles and 55 titles in doubles, including 9 Grand Slam victories. She was ranked in Top 10 in the world from 1977 to 1984 and in Top 20 for 10 consecutive years from 1977 to 1986. In addition she was a member of the Australian Fed Cup Team.
 
Wendy Turnbull with all her dedication and devotion in her play has achieved many goals in her overall tennis-playing career. She had the ability of defeating the opponent easily by giving some extra hard work and efforts. She was a legendry tennis player known for an outstanding play during her time.
