Virginia Wade is a professional tennis player in England. She was born on July 10th, 1945 in Bournemouth, England. Her height is 5 foot 7 inches and her weight is 135 pounds. She is a right-handed player and turned professional in 1968. She was the 1968 U.S. Open champion, 1969 amateur finalist, 1969, 1973 and 1975 doubles champion, 1969 open finalist; 1977 Wimbledon champion, 1983 quarter finalist, 1970 doubles finalist, 1972 Australian Open champion and 1973 doubles champion.
 
She was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 1989. She was voted Women’s Tennis Association, WTA Tour Player of the Year for 1977 after winning Wimbledon. She won the 1977 Wimbledon. She ranked in Top 10 continuously from 1967 to 1979. In 1982, she became the first woman ever elected to Wimbledon Committee. She won US Open in first year of Open Tennis in 1968. She was the recipient of 2002 Fed Cup Award of Excellence. She retired in 1986.
 
Virginia Wade with all her dedication and devotion in her play has achieved many goals in her overall tennis-playing career. She had the ability of defeating the opponent easily by giving some extra hard work and efforts. She was a legendry tennis player known for an outstanding play during her time.
