Tamarine Tanasugarn
Tennis is an outdoor sport which can be played between two players or four players. Players utilize a stringed racquet to hit a rubber ball, hollow inside covered with felt over a net into the opponent's court. In some places tennis is referred to as lawn tennis. This game started in England and was the most popular amongst the upper class of society. Presently tennis is an Olympic sport, as well as, it is played in various tournaments including the four Grand Slams in many countries, by people of all ages and classes. Tamarine Tanasugarn is a professional tennis player from Thailand. She was born on May 24th, 1977 in Los Angeles, California, USA. Her height is 5 foot 5 inches and her weight is 139 pounds. She is a right-handed two-handed backhand player and turned professional in 1994. In 1990 she played first International Tennis Federation, ITF Circuit qualifying in Thailand. In 1993 she made her Tour debut at Pattaya City and won her first singles title at ITF Manila. She won three ITF Circuit singles titles in Australia and Japan and reached Olympic doubles quarter finals as well. In 1999 she reached Wimbledon fourth round and also won two ITF Circuit titles. In 2000 she finished First Top 30, reaching second career singles final at Birmingham, fourth round at Wimbledon, third round at Australian Open and US Open as well. She was coached by Panoomkorn Pradchurnir. She was voted in 1996 as the Best Female Athlete by Press Association in Thailand. In her career her best ranking in singles was No. 19 on May 13th, 2002 and in doubles was No. 15 on September 13th, 2004. Tamarine Tanasugarn with all her dedication and devotion in her play has achieved many goals in her overall tennis-playing career. She had the ability of defeating the opponent easily by giving some extra hard work and efforts. She was a legendry tennis player known for an outstanding play during her time.
