She broke into top 20 singles rankings in July 1997. In 1989 she won the first pro title in second-ever event at International Tennis Federation, ITF Limoges. She played her first Grand Slam qualifying at Australian Open reaching semifinals at Karlovy Vary. In 1998 at Australian Open, she was seeded for first time reaching quarter finals and reached the fourth round at Roland Garros. In 1999 she reached the fourth round of Australian Open.
 
In the 2004 Wimbledon she made a comeback and won a total of three Women’s Tennis Association, WTA Tour singles and 4 WTA Tour doubles titles. Her biggest singles tournament victory was at the 1998 Tier II tournament in Filderstadt. Her career best ranking in singles was No. 9 on February 7th, 2000 and in doubles was No. 8 on August 21st, 2000.

She had the ability of defeating the opponent easily by giving some extra hard work and efforts. She was a legendry tennis player known for an outstanding play during her time.
