Julia Vakulenko
Tennis is an outdoor sport which can be played between two players or four players. Players utilize a stringed racquet to hit a rubber ball, hollow inside covered with felt over a net into the opponent's court. In some places tennis is referred to as lawn tennis. This game started in England and was the most popular amongst the upper class of society. Presently tennis is an Olympic sport, as well as, it is played in various tournaments including the four Grand Slams in many countries, by people of all ages and classes. Julia Vakulenko is a professional tennis player from Spain. She was born on July 10th, 1983 in Jalta, Ukraine. Her height is 6 foot and her weight is 152 pounds. She was a right-handed two-handed backhand player. She tuned into a professional tennis player in 1998. She was coached by Christian Filhol and started playing tennis at age seven. In 2000 she reached three International Tennis Federation, ITF Circuit finals and contested first Tour qualifying at Madrid. In 2001 she contested in her first Grand Slam qualifying at the Australian Open and later made Tour debut at Bol as a qualifier. In 2002 she qualified for Amelia Island, Charleston, Rome reaching second round and then won consecutive ITF Circuit titles at ITF Deauville and ITF Boynton Beach, USA. In 2004 at Canberra, she reached her career-first Women’s Tennis Association, WTA Tour semifinal and quarterfinal at Acapulco and reached the second round of the Australian Open as well. In 2005 she contested in the Tour qualifying seven times, reaching three main draws, at Warsaw. Her career best ranking in singles was No. 68 on March 8th, 2004 and in doubles was No. 136 in 2004. Julia Vakulenko with all her dedication and devotion in her play has achieved many goals in her overall tennis-playing career. She had the ability of defeating the opponent easily by giving some extra hard work and efforts. She was a legendry tennis player known for an outstanding play during her time.
