Tennis is an outdoor sport which can be played between two players or four players. Players utilize a stringed racquet to hit a rubber ball, hollow inside covered with felt over a net into the opponent's court. In some places tennis is referred to as lawn tennis. This game started in England and was the most popular amongst the upper class of society. Presently tennis is an Olympic sport, as well as, it is played in various tournaments including the four Grand Slams in many countries, by people of all ages and classes. 
 
There are three different court surfaces it is played on namely, clay court, grass court and hard court. Depending on the surface, each one provides a different movement of speed and bounce for the ball, which in turn affects the level of play of individual players.

Petra Mandula was born on 17 January 1978 in Budapest, Hungary. Mandula is a Right-handed two-handed backhand player, with a height of five feet ten inches and weighing 66 pounds. She is a well known Tennis Player.

In 1998, she won three ITF, International Tennis Federation Circuit titles and reached a total of five ITF Circuit finals; contested US Open qualifying. In 1999, first two Tour events, reached second round at Budapest and Tashkent and third Tour appearance, reached first quarter final at Sao Paulo, and won three ITF Circuit titles, breaking into Top 100 on November 1 at number 98. In 2000, she played all four Grand Slams for first time, reaching Roland Garros second round, and reached first Tour doubles finals at Bogota and Bratislava.
 
In 2002, she reached career-first semi final at Vienna and won doubles title, appeared in three quarter final, Canberra, Casablanca and Helsinki. In 2003, she finished season at career-high ranking of number 40. In 2004, she reached quarter final at Charleston and Budapest, third round at Australian Open and Amelia Island. She won seventh career Tour doubles title at Budapest and made three other semi final with various partners, ret. in 2 round of Dubai doubles with right thigh strain, causing withdrawal from Doha, also ret. in Berlin 2 round vs. Sharapova with right shoulder strain, causing withdrawal from Rome, and withdrew from Seoul with upper respiratory illness.
