Svetlana Kuznetsova is one of the finest tennis players with an international repute and recognition as all time great professional. Tennis is an outdoor sport which can be played between two players or four players. Players utilize a stringed racquet to hit a rubber ball, hollow inside covered with felt over a net into the opponent's court. Svetlana Kuznetsova was born on June 27, 1985 in the St. Petersburg suburb at Russia. As a player, she listed a height of 5 feet 8 inches with a weight of 161 pounds and played with a right-handed style and two-handed backhand.
 
Svetlana started playing tennis at the age of  7 years. Her father’s name is Alexandr Kuznetsov who is a cycling coach of six Olympic champions and world champions. Svetlana was encouraged to take up a career as a tennis player when she was inspired by players who fight a lot on the court. She made her first professional appearance through the 2000 ITF, International Tennis Federation Circuit. She appeared at five events including her success in reaching at two quarterfinals.  The greatest moment of her career to date was winning the US Open final against compatriot Dementieva.
 
Svetlana compiled impressive singles career record with 220-94 mark and doubles career record with 157-56 mark. She was inducted as world number 524 in 2001 records and qualified for the Madrid Tour debut. In 2002 she advanced over 216 spots to number 43 position, winning the first tour singles and doubles titles at Helsinki as qualifier. She won the first title and later broke into top 100 at number 87 overall.
 
Svetlana was a player known for her mental toughness owing to which many of her famous matches went the distance. Her superior approach and dedication to the sport of tennis made her surpass by the other players.
