Tennis is an outdoor sport which can be played between two players or four players. Players utilize a stringed racquet to hit a rubber ball, hollow inside covered with felt over a net into the opponent's court. In some places tennis is referred to as lawn tennis. This game started in England and was the most popular amongst the upper class of society. Presently tennis is an Olympic sport, as well as, it is played in various tournaments including the four Grand Slams in many countries, by people of all ages and classes. 
 
There are three different court surfaces it is played on namely, clay court, grass court and hardcourt. Depending on the surface, each one provides a different movement of speed and bounce for the ball, which in turn affects the level of play of individual players.
 
Shahar Peer is well known tennis player. She was born on 1 May 1987 in Jerusalem, Israel. Her height is five foot seven inch and weight is 132 foot. She is right handed player.
 
In her career she won many titles that include Pattaya City, Prague, Istanbul in 2006, ITF, International Tennis Federation/Bendigo Australia, ITF/Raanana Israel in 2004, ITF/Ramat Hasharon, Israel and ITF/Haifa-Israel. She was the semifinalist at Canberra in 2006 and quarterfinalist in Montreal in 2006, Auckland, Pattaya City, Istanbul, Cincinnati, and Bangkok in 2005 and Seoul in 2004. In doubles she was winner at Prague, Stanford in 2006 and ITF/Raanana-Israel in 2005. She was a semi finalist at Bangalore, Istanbul, Eastbourne and Montreal in 2006, Seoul and Japan open in 2005.  

Currently working with Jose Higueras in Palm Springs Fitness coach is Yuval Higger Began playing tennis at age 6 by joining older siblings, brother Shlomi and sister Shani, in tennis lessons. She is a player known for her mental toughness and because of that, many of her most famous matches went the distance.
