Paul Hanley
Tennis is an outdoor sport which can be played between two players or four players. Players utilize a stringed racquet to hit a rubber ball, hollow inside covered with felt over a net into the opponent's court. Guy Forget was one such professional French tennis player who was born on November 12, 1977, in Melbourne, Australia. He is a 6 foot right handed player weighing 168 pounds. In his single career titles, Hanley played in 1997 in his first Challenger tournament in Perth, and managed to reach the semi finals. In 1998 he won three futures doubles titles and in singles, advanced to semi finals at Australia. He enjoyed success with countryman Nathan Healey by winning three more Futures doubles titles at Canada ranked 1 and U.S. ranked 11 and Australia ranked 4. Hanley advanced to his first Challenger final in Geneva and semifinals in two other Challengers. In singles, he advanced to first final at Canada ranked 2. In 2000 he captured his first Challenger title in Scheveningen and won second title in Bratislava. He was also the runner-up at Singapore Challenger and semifinalist in four other Challengers. In singles, Hanley reached three futures finals in Australia. In 2001 Hanley reached the finals on three different surfaces which were clay, grass and hard and broke through to win his first ATP, Association of Tennis Professionals, title in Sopot and reached finals in Nottingham and Tokyo. Hanley was also the finalist at Calabasas and San Luis Potosi Challengers. In 2002 he advanced to the finals in Swedish ATP stops in Bastad and Stockholm. He reached the first Grand Slam quarterfinals at Roland Garros. He had a breakout season, winning a career-high five ATP doubles titles in eight finals. Hanley teamed-up with countryman Wayne Arthurs to compile a 42-17 record and capture four ATP titles in six finals while qualifying for their first Tennis Masters Cup in Houston. In their second tournament of year in Rotterdam, they defeated Federer and Mirnyi to win first title together. Paul Hanley is still remembered as one of the legendry tennis players in his time. He was a player known for his mental toughness, and because of that, many of his most famous matches went the distance.
