Julien Benneteau is one of the finest tennis players with an international repute and recognition as all time great professional. Julien’s career record includes his success in reaching the quarterfinals of the 2006 French Open by defeating the Australian Open finalist Radek Stepanek, Alberto Martin and Marcos Baghdatis. In his 2000 season, he compiled an impressive 23-20 record, reaching the two semifinals at French Futures event. He won a Futures and Challenger doubles title with Mahut and made ATP debut as a qualifier in Lyon. He also reached the second round and proceeded to compile a 16-13 mark in Futures and 3-2 in Challengers. Later, Julien reached two Futures finals and made Grand Slam debut as a wild card at Roland Garros. He continued his form by compiling an 11-14 mark in Challengers, claiming the French Futures doubles title with Mahut, winning the three ATP matches and winning the first career ATP doubles title in Metz.
 
Julien was also a finalist in Lyon and alleged Challenger titles in Bronx and St. Jean de Luz. He posted a career-high 14 ATP level matches and finished in top 100 ranking position for the first time. Later, he advanced to first ATP semifinals in Casablanca and also captured the Andrezieux Challenger title. His superior approach and dedication to the sport of tennis made him stand out from the crowd.
