He had won two titles and reached three other finals and helped the Sweden team to Davis Cup final with a 2-2 record in doubles. In 1997, the first ranking player of the Sweden team became ninth different player from his country to finish in top ten at rank four with his career-best 71-26 record. He had won three titles at Auckland, Indianapolis and Stockholm and had reached the final in two other Coral Springs and the ATP Masters Series Paris. In 2000 he finished in the top 50 for fifth time in seven years. He played well on the grass with semifinal in Nottingham in the fourth round at Wimbledon and the quarterfinal in Newport. He had finished the year with 12-6 mark reaching the quarterfinal in Shanghai and Moscow. He also reached the semifinals in St. Petersburg and the quarterfinals in Stockholm. In 2001, he had finished first in the ATP Doubles Race and individual doubles rankings for first time, winning four titles. He had the best singles result in the semifinal in Sydney. In the doubles games he had posted a 47-16 record including 42-11. Jonas Bjokman was a player who had exactitude to start with and was able to put a ball on the dime and had confidence in his play.
