Johan Kriek, born on April 5, 1958 in Pongola, South Africa, is a right-handed tennis player residing in Naples, Florida in the United States of America. He had a height 5 feet 9 inches and a weight of 168 pounds.
 
In his doubles playing career he had won many titles. He started on with the Australian Open in the year 1981. Then he went on to win a title in Sarasota.  He had also won titles in Philadelphia, in the Japan Open in the year 1985, in Chicago in the year 1983, at the Forest Hills in the year 1982 and also in Forest Hills and the WCT, Women’s Tennis Association in the year 1981, in Stowe in 1980. In 1985, he was a runner-up at the Queens and the San Francisco. In 1988, he was a runner-up at Schenectady and a quarterfinalist at the Indian Wells. In 1989 he was a runner-up at Memphis and also was a semifinalist at Capetown. He was a quarterfinalist at Newport and also the doubles quarterfinalist at the Australian Open.
 
Before coming to the United States, he had developed his tennis game in Vienna, Austria and had reached the quarterfinals in four consecutive Masters tournaments from January 1983 to January 1986. He had reached the quarterfinals in all four Grand Slams, winning the Australian Open titles in the years 1981 and 1982. He had finished in the top twenty for six consecutive years from 1980 to 1985 before falling to 23, 48, 39, and 52 in the past four years. He had earned a career-high of 449,098 dollars in the year 1982.
 
He had compiled a match record of 26-18 and had earned 193,643 dollars in the year 1988. He underwent a right elbow surgery in September 1989 to repair calcium deposits, ligament damage and bone spurs. He came back for the first time in March 1989 at the Lipton International, losing to Karel Novacek in the first round. Johan Kriek with all his dedication and devotion in his play had achieved many goals his overall tennis-playing career.
