Tennis is an outdoor sport which can be played between two players or four players. Players utilize a stringed racquet to hit a rubber ball, hollow inside covered with felt over a net into the opponent's court. In some places tennis is referred to as lawn tennis. This game started in England and was the most popular amongst the upper class of society. Presently tennis is an Olympic sport, as well as, it is played in various tournaments including the four Grand Slams in many countries, by people of all ages and classes. 
 
There are three different court surfaces it is played on namely, clay court, grass court and hardcourt. Depending on the surface, each one provides a different movement of speed and bounce for the ball, which in turn affects the level of play of individual players.
 
Jimmy Arias was born on 16th August 1964 in Buffalo, New York. His height is five foot nine inch and weight is 155 pounds. He is right handed player.
 
He won the ATP, Association of Tennis Players most improved player award in 1983. He was qualified for the 1983 Masters in January 1984 and played his first grass court tournament at the 1984 Wimbledon and reached the round of 16, his best Wimbledon effort.  He is the member of the 1984 United States Olympic team and reached the semifinals, losing Stefan Edberg. He is the member of the United States Davis Cup team from 1983 to 87. He has not won a singles title since 1983 Palermo, having reached five finals since then. He lost to Thomas Muster in Adelaide in January 1990. He improved from a 7-14 match record and 106 ATP ranking in 1988.
 
His superior approach and dedication to the game made him stand out from the crowd and he had a willingness to play anywhere even while suffering from an injury.
