Jim Grabb
Tennis is an outdoor sport which can be played between two players or four players. Players utilize a stringed racquet to hit a rubber ball, hollow inside covered with felt over a net into the opponent's court. In some places tennis is referred to as lawn tennis. This game started in England and was the most popular amongst the upper class of society. Presently tennis is an Olympic sport, as well as, it is played in various tournaments including the four Grand Slams in many countries, by people of all ages and classes. There are three different court surfaces it is played on namely, clay court, grass court and hardcourt. Depending on the surface, each one provides a different movement of speed and bounce for the ball, which in turn affects the level of play of individual players. Jim Grabb was born on 14th April 1964 at Tucson, Arizona United States. His height is six foot four inch and weight is 180 pounds. He earned economics degree at Stanford University where he was a three-time doubles and two-time singles titles. He reached semifinal at 1985 NCAA, National Collegiate Athletic Association event and won 1986 ITCA, International Tennis Conference Association Rafael Osuna sportsmanship award. He was vice president of ATP, Association of Tennis Players tour Player council and was doubles representative in 1998-99. The was the oldest player to finish in Top 100 ATP Tour doubles rankings teamed with Martin Damm most of year, winning two titles. In second career appearance together reached Antwerp semifinal and followed with London-indoor title. He played with a variety of partners through next three months, and reached Stuttgart-outdoor final. He rejoined Damm in Los Angeles and reached semi final, then followed with Mercedes Super 9 title in Toronto. He also advanced to United States open quarter final and finished number 12 in Team Rankings and number 15 individually. He is Sixth among active players with 23 career titles. He failed to win a Tour singles match for the first time since 1984. He is still known as one of the legendry tennis players in his time. He was a player known for his mental toughness and because of that, many of his most famous matches went the distance.
