Jill Craybas
Tennis is an outdoor sport which can be played between two players or four players. Players utilize a stringed racquet to hit a rubber ball, hollow inside covered with felt over a net into the opponent's court. In some places tennis is referred to as lawn tennis. This game started in England and was the most popular amongst the upper class of society. Presently tennis is an Olympic sport, as well as, it is played in various tournaments including the four Grand Slams in many countries, by people of all ages and classes. There are three different court surfaces it is played on namely, clay court, grass court and hardcourt. Depending on the surface, each one provides a different movement of speed and bounce for the ball, which in turn affects the level of play of individual players. Jill Craybas was born on 4th July 1974 at Providence, Rhode Island, United States. Her height is five foot three inch and weight is 123 pounds. She is a right handed player. Her coach was Raj Chaudhuri. She won the single’s championship that was held at ITF International Tennis Federation and Midland-USA in 2004, Tokyo in 2002, ITF and Rockford-USA in 2001 and ITF and Nuevo Lar-Mexico in 1998. She reached semi final in the championship that was held at Memphis in 2006 and was the quarterfinalist in Hobart, Amelia Island, Stanford in 2006, Estoril, Prague, Tokyo in 2005, Miami in 2004, Auckland, Hobart, Tokyo in 2003 and Hawaii in 2001. In 1992 as an amateur she was the runner up at first ITF, International Tennis Federation circuit event at ITF and Columbia, South Carolina, USA and 1993 quarter final at ITF and Austin, Texax, USA.
She won the awards elected to tour players’ council for 2004. She is a player known for her mental toughness and because of that, many of her most famous matches went the distance.
