Jie Zheng
Tennis is an outdoor sport which can be played between two players or four players. Players utilize a stringed racquet to hit a rubber ball, hollow inside covered with felt over a net into the opponent's court. In some places tennis is referred to as lawn tennis. This game started in England and was the most popular amongst the upper class of society. Presently tennis is an Olympic sport, as well as, it is played in various tournaments including the four Grand Slams in many countries, by people of all ages and classes. There are three different court surfaces it is played on namely, clay court, grass court and hard court. Depending on the surface, each one provides a different movement of speed and bounce for the ball, which in turn affects the level of play of individual players. Jie Zheng was born on 5th July 1983 at Cheng Du, Si Chuan in China. Her height is five foot four inch and weight is 126 pounds. She is right handed player. In singles she won Estoril, Stockholm in 2006, Hobart in 2005, ITF International Tennis Federation /Beijing in 2004, ITF/Bronx-USA and ITF/Paducah-USA 2003 and ITF/Shanghai-CHN, ITF/Tianjin in 2002. She reached the finals in Rabat in 2005 and was semifinalist at Guangzhou in 2005, Tokyo in 2003. She reached to quarterfinal in the championship that was held at Miami, Strasbourg in 2006, Estoril, New Haven in 2005, Hyderabad, Doha in 2004 and Québec City in 2003. She became second Chinese woman in tennis history to win a Tour singles title with victory at Hobart.
She is still remembered as one of the legendry tennis players in her time. She is a player known for her mental toughness and because of that, many of her most famous matches went the distance.
