Barbora Strycova
Tennis is an outdoor sport, which can be played between two players or four players. Players use a stringed racquet to hit a rubber ball, hollow inside covered with felt over a net into the opponent's court. In some places tennis is referred to as lawn tennis. Presently tennis is an Olympic sport, as well as, it is played in various tournaments including the four Grand Slams in many countries, by people of all ages and classes. Barbora Strycova is a right-handed tennis player, residing in Pilzen, Czech Republic, plays for the Czech team. She was born on March 28, 1986 in Pilzen, Czech Republic. She has a height of five feet four and a half inches and had a weight of 60 kilograms. She had started playing tennis at the age five. In 2000, she had entered one qualifying event on the ITF, International Tennis Federation Circuit. In 2002 she had reached back-to-back finals on the ITF Circuit winning the ITF in Edinburgh by knocking out two seeds and also won the ITF in Cairo, Egypt for second singles title of her career. In 2003 she won the first doubles title on the ITF Circuit and broke into the top 200 for one week at 175th rank on May 12 and again at 185th rank on June 23. In 2004 she was in the first top 100 finish in the third full season on the tour and her first career tour quarterfinal at the Strasbourg and later reached first semifinal. In 2005 her season was highlighted by impressive doubles play winning first two tour titles at Warsaw and Rabat and also reaching the finals at Bogota and Prague. In the same year she had also captured third career ITF Circuit doubles title at Ortisei. She has won many awards in her overall career. She had won the ITF Junior girls’ singles World Champion in 2002 and also held doubles first ranking during the same year. She had also won the Australian Open girls’ singles titles in the season of 2002-03. Barbora Strycova is a player who is totally dedicated in her play, which has led her to the zenith of achievements.
