Anna Chakvetadze was born on March 5, 1987, Moscow, Russia. She is a professional female tennis player from Russia. Her height is 5 feet 7 inches and she weighs 128 pounds. She is a right handed player who is good with her backhand skills too. Anna made a WC, Wildcard entry in 2001 at the ITF, International Tennis Federation which was her circuit debut. In 2004, she was the first top 100, and was the number 175 qualifier at US Open, in Grand Slam debut and her second career.
 
In 1992 Anna reached SF, semi finals at Milan, Bolzano, and Barcelona Olympics and surpassed 1 million dollar mark as her earnings. In 1993, she reached claycourt finals at Bologna and Bucharest, and saved three match points in 3 hour, 54 minute victory over Gaudenzi at Tel Aviv. In 1994 she reached SF at Cologne Challenger and QF, Quarter Finals in Tel Aviv. In 1996 she qualified at Australian Open, Dubai and Monte Carlo Mercedes Super 9 event. In 1991 she successfully defended Moscow title, saving two match points in final finalist at Brussels and doubles finalist at Moscow reached career high number of 13.
 
She has received several awards that included At Stars for Stars received and she also collected the MVP, Most Improved Player Award, in juniors, reaching 2004 Wimbledon final. Anna was a player known for her mental toughness, and because of that, many of her most famous matches went the distance. She is still one of the best tennis players in the world.
