Tennis is an outdoor sport which can be played between two players or four players. Players utilize a stringed racquet to hit a rubber ball, hollow inside covered with felt over a net into the opponent's court. In some places tennis is referred to as lawn tennis. This game started in England and was the most popular amongst the upper class of society. Presently tennis is an Olympic sport, as well as, it is played in various tournaments including the four Grand Slams in many countries, by people of all ages and classes. 
 
There are three different court surfaces it is played on namely, clay court, grass court and hardcourt. Depending on the surface, each one provides a different movement of speed and bounce for the ball, which in turn affects the level of play of individual players. Ana Ivanovic was born on November 6, 1987 in Belgrade. She is a Serbian professional tennis player. Her height is six foot, weighs 160 pounds and she is a right handed player.
 
In 2003 she made pro debut on the International Tennis Federation, ITF Circuit. In 2004 she finished top 100 in first full season on the tour, making the biggest ranking jump of any player in 2004 with 608 places as world number 156 qualifiers. She was considered as the 26th qualifier in Tour history to win a title. She participated in three grand slams. Her grand slam highlights include third round in the Australian Open, third round in Wimbledon and was highest ranked player to make her debut at the US Open since number 14 Capriati in 1990.
 
She has received several awards that included At Stars for Stars received on March 21th, 2006 and she also collected the MVP, Most Improved Player Award, in juniors, reaching 2004 Wimbledon final. Ana Ivanovic was a player known for her mental toughness, and because of that, many of her most famous matches went the distance. She is still remembered as one of the legendry tennis players in her time.
