Toronto Lynx
Toronto Lynx is a Canadian football club that plays in the North American USL First Division (the second division of soccer in the United States and Canada league pyramid behind Major League Soccer). Montreal Impact and Vancouver Whitecaps are the main rivals of Toronto Lynx. Duncan Wilde is the coach of this club. In October 2004, the club announced that it had purchased the rights to a W-League franchise, the Toronto Lady Lynx, which began play during the 2005 season.
This club plays its home games at Centennial Park Stadium, a multi-use stadium in Toronto, Ontario. It was built in 1975 and it has a capacity of 3,500 people. In 2007, the Toronto Lynx will move to the National Soccer Stadium at Exhibition Place, a new 20,000 seat stadium which they will share with the Major League Soccer expansion team, Toronto FC. Italian manufacturer Legea is the current equipment supplier for the club. Some of the most notable former players of Toronto Lynx are: Dwayne De Rosario, Atiba Hutchinson, Milan Kojic, Pat Onstad, Chris Pozniak, Marco Reda, Adrian Serioux and Paul Stalteri. Some of the current players of this club are: Richard Goddard, Joe Mattacchione, Tony Menezes, Andres Arango, David Diplacido, Ryan Anstey, Osni Neto, Theo Zagar and Aaron Steele.
