In 1973, the company opened its North American headquarters in California in order to better respond to the demands of the country’s athletes. Initially, Volleyball was the sport that helped establish Mikasa’s reputation, but the company didn’t stop there, taking advantage of its drive and passion to quickly apply it to basketball, soccer, football, water polo, rugby, tetherballs, kickballs, dodgeballs and playground balls.
