David Trézéguet
David Sergio Trézéguet was born on 15 October, 1977, in Rouen, France. He is a French-Argentine football striker who plays for Juventus and the France National Team. David Trézéguet is the son of Argentine football player Jorge Trézéguet, who is the son of French immigrants to Argentina. Even though David Trézéguet's mother gave birth to him while his father was playing in France, David grew up in Argentina after moving there from France at the age of two. He played his first professional match in Argentina. By the age of 17, He returned to France and there he signed for Monaco.
David Trézéguet was on the winning team in the 1998 FIFA World Cup in France, and scored the golden goal against Italy to give the French the 2000 European Championship. He also played for France in the 2002 FIFA World Cup and Euro 2004. He also played in 1997 FIFA World Youth Championship. In March 2004, Trézéguet was named one of the top 125 greatest living footballers. As of 28 June 2006, Trézéguet has made sixty six appearances for the French national side and has scored 32 goals in the process. During the Final of the 2006 FIFA World Cup on 9 July 2006, where France was disputing the title against Italy, the match which went to penalty kicks. The teams were tied 1-1, and Trézéguet was the sole player to miss his penalty kick from either team hitting the cross-bar, Italy ended up winning 5-3 (Italy having taken the first kick).
