Municipal Pérez Zeledón
Municipal Pérez Zeledón is a Costa Rican football club based in Pérez Zeledón, Costa Rica. It currently plays in the Primera División (First Division of Costa Rican football). Their nickname is “Los Guerreros del Sur”, which literally translates to “The Warriors of the South.” This nickname was given to them because the team is based in the south of the country and because of their aggressiveness and persistency. Jhonny Chaves is the coach of Municipal Pérez Zeledón.
This club plays its home games at Estadio Otto Ureña or Estadio Municipal de Pérez Zeledón, a multi-use stadium in Pérez Zeledón, Costa Rica. This stadium has a capacity of 5,500 people. In the 2004-05 season, Municipal Pérez Zeledón won the Torneo Apertura and finished the season as the sub-champion.
