Cruz Azul or Club Deportivo Social y Cultural Cruz Azul is a Mexican football club that plays in the Primera División (the first division of Mexican football). Cruz Azul is one of the most popular and successful football clubs in Mexico. Isaac Mizrahi is the coach of this club. Cruz Azul has won 8 national championships and 5 CONCACAF Champion’s Cup titles. This club plays its home games at Estadio Azul, a 39,000-seat stadium located in Mexico City. The team moved in there in 1996 after playing many seasons at the Estadio Azteca.

On May 22nd, 1927, Cruz Azul was founded as an amateur team by the workers of the cement company "La Cruz Azul S.A.", located on the town of Jasso, Hidalgo. The most notable former players of this club are: Alex Aguinaga, Melvin Brown, Hector Adomaitis, Mauro Camoranesi, Sebastian Abreu, Luciano Figueroa, Marcelo Delgado, Francisco Palencia, Carlos Hermosillo, Ricardo Osorio, Francisco Fonseca, Juan Reynoso, Pablo Larios, Robert Dante Siboldi and César Delgado.
