Club Deportivo FAS or Club Deportivo Futbolistas Asociados Santanecos is a Salvadoran football club that currently plays in the Primera División de Fútbol Profesional (first division of Salvadoran football). FAS is one of the most prestigious clubs of El Salvador. The mascot of Club Deportivo FAS is the Tiger. This club currently plays in Santa Ana, El Salvador. The coach of this club is Julio "el Turco" Asad.
This club has won 16 national championships; additionally, they have finished second 14 times. In 1979, Club Deportivo FAS won the CONCACAF Champion’s Cup. Jorge "Mágico" González is the best player to have played for Club Deportivo FAS. Some of the current players of this club are: William René González Aguilar, Marvin René González Leiva, Carlos Alberto Menjivar, José Rafael Tobar Lemus, Lucas Daniel Abraham López, Rodolfo Paolo Suárez Díaz and Alejandro de la Cruz Bentos. FAS plays its home games at Estadio Oscar Alberto Quiteño, a multi-use stadium in Santa Ana, El Salvador. This stadium has a capacity of 15,000 people and was built in 1963. Club Deportivo FAS has nicknames such as “Tigres” or “Tigrillos.” FAS is one of the most popular teams in El Salvador and in Central America in general.
