Tontcho Tontchev
The Olympic Games, or Olympics, is an international multi-sport event taking place every four years which comprises of summer and winter games. Though the first ancient games were held in 776 B.C, the modern games started from 1896. The unity of the 5 continents is shown on the Olympic flag by five colorful intertwined rings of red, blue, green, yellow, and black, created by Baron Pierre de Coubertin to represent at least one color of the participating country’s national flag. Tontcho Tontchev was born on December 1, 1972 in Sliven. He currently has a professional record of 36-4-0. He is a Bulgarian boxer, and won the Lightweight Silver medal at the 1996 Summer Olympics. Tontchev also represented his native country at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. In 1996 he won the silver medal at the European Amateur Boxing Championships in Vejle, Denmark. A year later Tontchev began his professional career. He is a player known for his mental toughness owing to which many of his famous matches went the distance. His superior approach and dedication to the game made him stand out from the crowd.
