The Olympic Games, or Olympics, is an international multi-sport event taking place every four years which comprises of summer and winter games. Though the first ancient games were held in 776 B.C, the modern games started from 1896 and were held every four years except in 1916, 1940 and 1944 due to the World Wars. The unity of the 5 continents is shown on the Olympic flag by five colorful intertwined rings of red, blue, green, yellow, and black, created by Baron Pierre de Coubertin to represent at least one color of the participating country’s national flag.
 
Ole Einar Bjorndalen was born on 27 January 1974 in Simostranda in Modum, southeastern Norway. His height is 5 foot 10 inches and weight is 143 pounds. He is a biathlete. He lives in the village of Toblach in Italian South Tyrol with his wife, Italian biathlete Nathalie Santer, whom he married on 27 May 2006. In preparation for the 2006 Winter Olympics he moved to Obertilliach on the Austrian side of the Italian and Austrian border so that he could live at high altitude of 1600 m. He has two sisters and two brothers. Older brother, Dag, used to be a biathlete, and a younger brother, Hans Anton, is an active biathlete.
 
The desire to use his talents for the Glory and Honor of his God and Country propelled him in an attempt to excel at the highest level of sporting achievement to inspire future generations of his countrymen to do the same upholding the highest standards of patriotic fervor.
