Jan Hempel
The Olympic Games, or Olympics, is an international multi-sport event taking place every four years which comprises of summer and winter games. Though the first ancient games were held in 776 B.C, the modern games started from 1896.The unity of the 5 continents is shown on the Olympic flag by five colorful intertwined rings of red, blue, green, yellow, and black, created by Baron Pierre de Coubertin to represent atleast one color of the participating country’s national flag.
Jan Hempel was born on June 22, 1981. He is a Paraguayan football player who, as of 2006, was playing for Santos FC of Brazil. Hempel started his career at Club Guarani in his native country. He was part of the silver medal-winning Paraguayan 2004 Olympic football team, who achieved a quarter-final place with two victories in the qualifying round, and, having finished second in the league, beat South Korea in the quarter-finals, and Iraq in the semi-finals, before losing to Argentina in the final.
The desire to use his talents for the Glory and Honor of his God and Country propelled him in an attempt to excel at the highest level of sporting achievement to inspire future generations of his countrymen to do the same upholding the highest standards of patriotic fervor.
