The Olympic Games, or Olympics, is an international multi-sport event taking place every four years which comprises of summer and winter games. Darrell Owen Pace was born on October 23rd, 1956 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is a former archer from the United States who won two individual Olympic titles during his career. When he was around 13 years old, he bought an archery set with a coupon that entitled him to one free of charge lesson. He kept on paying for more lessons and, when he was 16, he became the youngest member of the U.S. team at the world championships, where he finished twenty third.
 
He went on to win four successive national archery championships, from 1973 to 1976. He also won the title in 1978 and 1980. He won the world title in 1975 and 1979 and finished second to long time rival Richard McKinney in 1977 and 1983. After winning the Olympic gold medal in 1976, he was selected for the 1980 Olympic team, but the U.S. boycotted the Moscow Games that year for the reason that the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan was present. In 1984, he took a 13 point lead after the first day of the four-day competition and won an easy conquest.
 
Darrell Owen Pace with all his dedication and devotion in his play achieved many goals in his overall athletic career. He had the ability of defeating the opponent easily by just giving some extra hard work and efforts. He never lost hope in himself and always fought hard to achieve his goal. He is still remembered as one of the best athletes in the history of Olympics.
