Danyon Loader
The Olympic Games, or Olympics, is an international multi-sport event taking place every four years which comprises of summer and winter games. Though the first ancient games were held in 776 B.C, the modern games started from 1896.The unity of the 5 continents is shown on the Olympic flag by five colorful intertwined rings of red, blue, green, yellow, and black, created by Baron Pierre de Coubertin to represent atleast one color of the participating country’s national flag. Danyon Joseph Loader was born on April 21st, 1975 in Timaru and is a professional swimmer. He is a swimmer from New Zealand. He represented New Zealand at three Commonwealth Games including 1990, 1994 and 1998 and two Olympic Games including 1992 and 1996. In 1992, at Barcelona, he won a silver medal in the 200 meter Butterfly. In 1996, he won two gold medals in Atlanta, in the 200 and 400 meter freestyle races. He set World Records in the 200 meter butterfly and 400 meter freestyle with a short course. He was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame in 2002. He has in recent times reappeared on the local swimming scene after years spent away from it. He is now fascinated in coaching. He was lately voted off the New Zealand version of Dancing with the Stars. Danyon Joseph Loader with all his dedication and devotion in his play achieved many goals in his overall athletic career. He had the ability of defeating the opponent easily by just giving some extra hard work and efforts. He never lost hope in himself and always fought hard to achieve his goal. He is still remembered as one of the best athletes in the history of Olympics.
