The Olympic Games, or Olympics, is an international multi-sport event taking place every four years which comprises of summer and winter games. Though the first ancient games were held in 776 B.C, the modern games started from 1896.The unity of the 5 continents is shown on the Olympic flag by five colorful intertwined rings of red, blue, green, yellow, and black, created by Baron Pierre de Coubertin to represent atleast one color of the participating country’s national flag.
 
Danielle Goyette was born in St-Nazaire, Quebec, is a women's ice hockey player, and has been on the Canadian national team. She has achieved an astonishing amount of success with the women's national team, and in December 2005 in an exhibition game against Sweden, she scored her 200th career point with Team Canada. In 2006, she was selected to carry the Canadian flag during the Opening Ceremonies of the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy.
 
She has won three Olympic medals, gold in both Turin in 2006 and Salt Lake City in 2002 and a silver medal in Nagano in 1998. She has also had a lot of success with Team Canada at the world championships, capturing seven Gold medals as well as one silver medal. Her achievements include World Championships in 2005 at Linkoping, Sweden where she won a Silver and the 2000 Mississauga, Canada Championships where she won a Gold.
 
Danielle Goyette with all her dedication and devotion in her play achieved many goals in her overall athletic career. She had the ability of defeating the opponent easily by just giving some extra hard work and efforts. She never lost hope in herself and always fought hard to achieve her goal. She is still remembered as one of the best athletes in the history of Olympics.
