The Olympic Games, or Olympics, is an international multi-sport event taking place every four years which comprises of summer and winter games. Viorca Daniela Silivas-Harper was born on May 9th, 1972 and is a Romanian gymnast who is most famous for winning six medals that include three Gold, two Silver, and one Bronze in Women's Artistic Gymnastics at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul, Korea. Born in Deva, Transylvania, she began gymnastics at age 6 and won her school's championships in 1980, and in 1981, became the Junior National Champion.
 
However, Silivas did not linger for long in the junior ranks. Although she was only thirteen at the 1985 Worlds, she scored a perfect 10 on the way to capturing the World balance beam title, defeating the reigning Olympic Champion, her fellow countrywoman, Ecaterina Szabo, in the process. She finished behind reigning co-World Champion Yelena Shushunova in the individual all-around at the 1986 World Cup and rapidly established herself as the leader of the Romanian gymnastics team.
 
Her greatest triumph took place at the 1987 European Gymnastics Championships in Moscow where she won the individual all-around, balance beam, uneven bars and floor exercise titles plus taking a silver medal on the vault.
 
Daniela Silivas with all her dedication and devotion in her play achieved many goals in her overall athletic career. She had the ability of defeating the opponent easily by just giving some extra hard work and efforts. She never lost hope in herself and always fought hard to achieve her goal. She is still remembered as one of the best athletes in the history of Olympics.
