Wes Short, Jr. was born on 4th December, 1963 in Austin, Texas. His height is 6 feet and his weight is 190 pounds. He Turned Pro in 1987. His PGA, Professional Golfers' Association  Tour Victories included 2005  Lumber Classic, Nationwide Tour Victories of 2000 New Mexico Classic,  2002  Oregon Classic,  Albertsons Boise Open,  2005  National Mining Association Pete Dye Classic,  Scholarship America Showdown and Cox Classic Presented by Chevrolet. 
 
In 1993-94, Wes was sidelined for nearly 18 months after contracting Ross River Fever, a mosquito-carried virus, which caused damage to his eyes. He developed conjunctivitis from over-wearing contact lenses. His 7-under 277 totals was the highest winning score at the Heritage since Wes won with a 4-under 280 in 1980. He recorded a hole-in-one on the 198-yard, par-3 third hole with a 5-iron during the first round of the Buick Invitational. He opened with a career-best 9-under 62, which included 11 birdies between bogeys on Nos. 1 and 18. He finished T3 at the Bank of America Colonial, posting four rounds in the 60s to finish eight strokes behind champion Kenny Perry.
 
He is one of the best known golf players in the history of the game. A unique style of game strategy and excellent judgment is what makes this great player one of the best all time golf players. Sheer determination, concentration and self confidence has helped him through out his professional career of playing golf to achieve what other players can only imagine of.
