Tommy Armour III
Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. This game does not have any fixed standard playing area, but an ideal measurement can be decided as per the availability of space and number of players involved. The game basically originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. Although often viewed as an elite pastime, golf is now becoming an increasingly popular sport across all sections of society. The two basic forms of playing golf are match play and stroke play. Tommy Armour III was born in Denver, Colorado. His height is six foot two inch with weight 190 pounds. He played golf and baseball in high school but decided to stick with golf because both seasons were during same time, after record-setting performance at the 2003 Valero Texas Open. In 1982, he qualified for the Tour in 1981, but earned only 4,254 dollars in 1982. He is Amateur as winner of the 1981 New Mexico State Amateur. In 1990, he earned first PGA, Professional Golfers Association, tour victory at the Phoenix Open. He played in European and Asian Tours until fall of 1987. Tommy made the cut in 10 of final 12 starts to finish No. 122 on the PGA Tour money list. In the start of 2005, he finished T7 at the Sony Open in Hawaii for only top-10 performance of the season. He also led the field with just 20 putts in the first round of the Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links, just two strokes shy of the PGA Tour record of 18. Tommy Armour III is one of the best known golf players in the history of the game. A unique style of game strategy and excellent judgment is what makes this great player one of the best all time golf players. Sheer determination, concentration and self confidence has helped him through out his professional career of playing golf to achieve what other players can only imagine of.
