Scott Gutschewski was born in Omaha, Nebraska. His height is 6 foot and weight 260 pounds. He was played at Nebraska from 1997 to 99 and was part of Nebraska's best team in school history in 1999. He was helped lead the Huskers to a 14th place finish at the NCAA, National Collegiate Athletic Association championships that season and had a runner up finish at the Big 12 Championship. Scott finished 26th on the 2003 Nationwide Tour money list during his rookie season. He had eight top-25s in 12 starts, including his first title at the Monterey Peninsula Classic. His Tournament-record 12-under 276 was four shots better than the previous record and helped him garner a career-best $81,000. In 2004, he was made the cut in 20 of 25 Tournaments on the 2004 Nationwide Tour, including 11 top-25 finishes. He was ended the season number 17 on the official money list, with $206,308, and finished T2 at the Mark Christopher Charity Classic for his best showing of the season. T5 at the Miccosukee Championship helped prope himl from number 21 to number 14 on the money list. Also he was tallied top 10s at the Albertsons Boise Open T4, Jacob's Creek Open T5, Chitimacha Louisiana Open T7, SAS Carolina Classic T7 and the Envirocare Utah Classic T7. Scott was rookie on the PGA Tour in 2005 after finishing 17th on the 2004 Nationwide Tour money list. He was made 16 cuts in 27 PGA Tour starts and finished 149th on the money list to earn partial status for 2006. He was posted six top-25s with his best finish a T13 at the Chrysler Classic of Greensboro. Scott was paired with Michelle Wie during the first two rounds of the John Deere Classic. Also he made the cut in 20 of 25 Tournaments on the 2004 Nationwide Tour, including seven top-10s and earned $206,308 in his second year on that circuit.
