Roger Tambellini was born on March 11, 1975 in San Luis Obispo, California. His height is 6 foot 3inches and weight 180 pounds. His best PGA Tour Finishes in T14-2004 BellSouth Classic.  In 2005 season highlights, he posted three top-20 finishes in his first six starts of the season, including a then season-best T5 at the BMW Charity Pro-Am at The Cliffs.
 
He collected $22,812 for his play in Greenville, finishing three strokes behind champion Shane Bertsch. Rounds of 69-68-72-67 led to a T9 finish at the LaSalle Bank Open. He finished tied with Jason Gore at 23-under-par 261 in a thrilling finish at the Cox Classic presented by Chevrolet. After both players parred the first extra hole, Gore prevailed with a birdie on the second extra hole. He moved into the winner's circle just one week later after posting bookend 7-under-par 65s to finish 21-under-par 267 at the Price Cutter Charity Championship. 

He finished 12th on the 2005 Nationwide Tour money list to earn card after a one-year absence. He picked up his second career victory on the Nationwide Tour at the 2005 Price Cutter Charity Championship a week after losing a playoff to Jason Gore at the Cox Classic. He opened and closed with 7-under 65s for a one-stroke victory over four players. He became the first player since Chris Smith in 1997 to lose a playoff one week and return the following week to win. He earned initial PGA Tour card via T21 finish at 2003 Qualifying Tournament. He possessed superior approach and dedication to the game which made him stand out from the other players.
