Rocco Mediate was born on December 17, 1962 in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. His height is 6 foot 1inch and weight 190 pounds. His best PGA Tour Finishes are in 1991 Doral-Ryder Open, in 1993 Kmart Greater Greensboro Open, in 1999 Phoenix Open, in 2000 Buick Open and in 2002 Greater Greensboro Chrysler Classic. His International Victory was in 1992 Perrier French Open.
 
His career highlights in 2005 season, playing on one-time exemption as top 50 all-time money winner, rebounded from subpar 2004 season to finish in the top 125. Rallied down the stretch, with 12 made cuts in final 14 starts and recorded lone top-10 of the season at the U.S. Open T6. It was his third top-10 in a major and his second at the U.S. Open 4th in 2001. First top-10 since the 2003 FUNAI Classic at Walt Disney World Resort and best effort since his runner-up finish at the 2003 Deutsche Bank Championship. 
 
In Career Highlights, in 2004 season, he continued to battle back problems throughout the season finished outside the 125 on the PGA Tour money list for the fourth time in his 19-year career and for the first time since he finished number 155 in 1995 did not post a top-10 for the first time since 1989. In 2003, he finished season 31st on money list and was bounced from the field for season-ending Tour Championship after missing cut in final full-field event, the Chrysler Championship Began season with two top-fives in first three events Switched to conventional putter for season-opening Mercedes Championships, and finished T2 with K.J. Choi.
 
In Personal, he gained interest in golf in high school after years of playing baseball with help from Champions Tour member Jim Ferree during college and began to construct his swing. He became the first player to win on the PGA Tour using a long putter when he won the 1991 Doral-Ryder Open.
