Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. This game does not have any fixed standard playing area, but an ideal measurement can be decided as per the availability of space and number of players involved. The game basically originated from Scotland and has been played for atleast five centuries in the British Isles. Although often viewed as an elite pastime, golf is now becoming an increasingly popular sport across all sections of society. The two basic forms of playing golf are match play and stroke play.
 
Mark David Brooks was born on March 25, 1961 in Worth, Texas. His height is five foot nine inch and weight is 150 pounds. He has 23 years of professional golf playing experience. He was winner of 1979 and 1981 Texas State Amateurs, 1979 Southern Amateur and 1979 Trans-Mississippi Amateur. In 1988, he had his first Tour victory, at Canon Sammy Davis and then at Greater Hartford Open, came with 10 foot putt on second playoff hole with Dave Barr and Joey Sindelar.
 
In 1994 he won the Kemper Open by three strokes over D.A. Weibring and Bobby Wadkins. In 1996 he enjoyed his best season on Tour with three victories, including his first major title, the PGA. His PGA Tour Victories include 1988 Canon Sammy Davis Greater Hartford Open, 1991 Kmart Greater Greensboro Open and Greater Milwaukee Open.
 
Mark David Brooks is one of the best known golf players in the history of the game. A unique style of game strategy and excellent judgment is what makes this great player one of the best all time golf players. Sheer determination, concentration and self confidence has helped him through out his professional career of playing golf to achieve what other players can only imagine of.
