James Gallagher, Jr. was born on March 24, 1961 Johnstown, Pennsylvania. His height is 6 feet and his weight is 200 lbs. He is 45 years old and completed his studies in Tennessee. He made his debut in 1983. Father, Jim, is a PGA professional in Marion, Indiana, wife, Cissye, is a former LPGA, Ladies Professional Golf Association member; sister, Jackie Gallagher Smith, and brother, Jeff, are both tour professionals.
 
Jim Gallagher played in a career-low five events on the PGA Tour in 2005. In 2004, he finished T10 at the B.C. Open, his first top-10 since a T5 at the 2002 Greater Greensboro Chrysler Classic. He was a member of PGA Tour with full playing privileges in 1984, 1986-1987, 1989-1999, and played at least 15 events annually between 1984 and 2002. Twice he has reached the 1 million mark in earnings. His first earnings came in 1993, when he won Anheuser-Busch Golf Classic and The Tour Championship.
 
First Tour victory came at 1990 Greater Milwaukee Open, where he defeated Ed Dougherty and Billy Mayfair on first playoff hole. He represented United States in 1994 at inaugural Presidents Cup, where his record was 3-1. He was the leading money winner on Tournament Players Series in 1985. The Gallaghers were selected National Golf Month Family for 1995 by PGA of America.
 
He is one of the best known golf players in the history of the game. A unique style of game strategy and excellent judgment is what makes this great player one of the best all time golf players. Sheer determination, concentration and self confidence has helped him through out his professional career of playing golf to achieve what other players can only imagine of.
