Jim Carter
Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. The game basically originated from Scotland and has been played for atleast five centuries in the British Isles. The two basic forms of playing golf are match play and stroke play. PGA stands for Professional Golfers' Association Tour.
Jim Carter was born in the year of 1951, Spring Lake, North Carolina. His height is 6 feet and his weight is 175 pounds. He made his debut in 1985 and was inducted into Arizona State University Sports Hall of Fame in 1995. Jim Carter in 2001 appeared in 28 tournaments, making the cut 23 times. In 2000 he finished among the Top 50 on the PGA Tour money list for the first time since 1989 and broke through to earn first PGA Tour title in his 13th year and 292nd PGA Tour start, a two-stroke win at the Touchstone Energy Tucson Open.
Jim Carter 1997 season's best finish came at Buick Classic where he closed with 65 to finish alone in fifth place and ninth at Buick Challenge. In 1996 he made cut in 25 of 31 tournaments and posted two top-10 finishes. He closed the season on a high note with T8 finish at the Walt Disney World and Oldsmobile Classic. He finished T3 at the Buick Open
Jim Carter in 1990 lost PGA Tour playing privileges after finishing 172nd on the money list. In 1989 he finished 33rd on PGA Tour money list in a year. After joining the Arizona State golf team as walk-on, he won 1983 NCAA, National Collegiate Athletic Association Championship during brilliant career.
He is one of the best known golf players in the history of the game. A unique style of game strategy and excellent judgment is what makes this great player one of the best all time golf players. Sheer determination, concentration and self confidence has helped him through out his professional career of playing golf to achieve what other players can only imagine of.
