Doug Barron
Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. The game basically originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. The two basic forms of playing golf are match play and stroke play. PGA stands for Professional Golfers' Association Tour. The PGA Tour is an organization headquartered in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, USA that operates the USA's main professional golf tours. The PGA Tour since 1968 has been completely separated from the Professional Golfers' Association of America, PGA of America, which is now primarily an association of club professionals. Doug Barron was born on 24th July 1969 in Memphis, Tennessee. With a height of 5 foot 9 inches and weighing 170 pounds, he turned Professional in the year 1992. In Current Year PGA Tour Highlights, he notched first top-10 of the season in his fourth start, a T7 at the Chrysler Classic of Tucson and second top-10 was T7 at the BellSouth Classic, aided by rounds of 65-71 on the weekend. He made only 11 of 24 cuts but managed to finish in the top 125 thanks to two top-10s. He opened the year with a fifth-place finish at the Chrysler Classic of Tucson, aided by opening rounds of 66-66, his first top-10 since a T10 at the 2000 Tampa Bay Classic. He posted a career-best T3 at the EDS Byron Nelson Championship and earned a career-high 322,400 dollars. In 2004 he played in the Nationwide Tour, recording seven top-10s, including a T2 at the Samsung Canadian PGA. He finished 29th on the money list but re-gained PGA Tour card via T26 finish at PGA TOUR Qualifying School. In 2003 he finished 168th on PGA Tour money list in 2003 with two top-25s. In 2002 he finished third on the Nationwide Tour money list with 248,175 dollars to earn tour card for 2003 including four runners-up and two thirds. He is one of the best known golf players in the history of the game. A unique style of game strategy and excellent judgment is what makes this great player one of the best all time golf players. Sheer determination, concentration and self confidence has helped him through out his professional career of playing golf to achieve what other players can only imagine of.
