Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. The game basically originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. The two basic forms of playing golf are match play and stroke play. PGA stands for Professional Golfers' Association Tour. The PGA Tour is an organization headquartered in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, USA that operates the USA's main professional golf tours. The PGA Tour since 1968 has been completely separated from the Professional Golfers' Association of America, PGA of America, which is now primarily an association of club professionals.
 
Donnie Hammond was born on 1st April 1957 in Frederick, Maryland. With a height of 5 feet 10 inches and weighing 170 pounds, he turned Professional in the year 1979. His PGA Tour victories include 1986 Bob Hope Chrysler Classic and 1989 Texas Open. His Nationwide Tour Victory includes 2000 Buy.Com Lakeland Classic. 
 
He played in a combined 11 events in 2005 on the PGA Tour and Nationwide Tour with best finish a T8 at the Nationwide Tour's Rex Hospital Classic. It was only his fifth top-10 in 32 starts on the Nationwide Tour and his first since a T8 at the Nationwide Tour's 2000 Omaha Classic. He made cut in 19 of 27 PGA Tour events in 2003, but posted just one top-25, a T23 at the 2003 BellSouth Classic.
 
He is one of the best known golf players in the history of the game. A unique style of game strategy and excellent judgment is what makes this great player one of the best all time golf players. Sheer determination, concentration and self confidence has helped him through out his professional career of playing golf to achieve what other players can only imagine of.
