Brian Bateman
Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. The game basically originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. The two basic forms of playing golf are match play and stroke play. PGA stands for Professional Golfers' Association Tour. The PGA Tour is an organization headquartered in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, USA that operates the USA's main professional golf tours. The PGA Tour since 1968 has been completely separated from the Professional Golfers' Association of America, PGA of America, which is now primarily an association of club professionals. Brian Bateman was born on February 25, 1973 in Monroe, Louisiana. With a height of 5 foot 10 inches and weighing 185 pounds, Bateman has played 137 events in his career. In 2001 he was a member of Nationwide Tour for fifth straight season and finished 58th in Nationwide Tour money list but earned first tour card by finishing T32 at tour Qualifying Tournament. In 2002 in the Rookie season he made just over half of his cuts and posting four top-25s, including a then-career-best T15 at the SEI Pennsylvania Classic. In 2004 he finished in the top 125 for the first time in his three-year PGA, the Professional Golf Association, Tour career. This year also included his first two top-10s on tour and a career-high six top-25s. His solid play allowed him to jump up the Official World Golf Ranking list from No. 428 to No. 176 after the tour Championship. He finished third at The Honda Classic for first career top-10 in his 66th career start. Previous best was T11 at the 2003 HP Classic of New Orleans. He is one of the best known golf players in the history of the game. A unique style of game strategy and excellent judgment is what makes this great player one of the best all time golf players. Sheer determination, concentration and self confidence has helped him through out his professional career of playing golf to achieve what other players can only imagine of.
