Katie King was born on May 24, 1975 in Salem, New Hampshire. She was an American ice hockey player. She won a gold medal at the 1998 Winter Olympics, silver medal at the 2002 Winter Olympics and a bronze medal at the 2006 Winter Olympics.
 
Katie with all her perseverance and superior approach towards the sport accomplished any aspirations in her overall athletic career. She possessed the ability of defeating the opponent easily by just giving some extra effort. She never lost hope in herself and always strived hard to accomplish her ambition.
