Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. Nationwide Tour is the developmental tour for the U.S. based PGA, Professional Golfers’ Association Tour and features professional golfers who have either failed to score well at the Q-School to earn their PGA Tour card, or who have done so but then failed to win enough money to stay at that level. Those who are on the top 20 of the money list at year's end are given PGA Tour memberships for the next season. The Nationwide Tour is one of the nine tours on which Official World Golf Ranking points are available, and one of only two developmental tours that offer ranking points.

Peter Tomasulo was born in Long Beach, California. His height is 5 feet 10 inches with a weight of 155 pounds. He has turned professional in the year 2004. His Nationwide Tour victories include the 2005 Alberta Classic. His international victories include the 2005 Montreal Open. In his Current Year Nationwide Tour, he has posted four sub-par rounds at the Athens Regional Foundation Classic to notch his first top-10 finish of the season, placing T5. He has posted a 4-under-par 284 at the Henrico County Open to finish T10. He was T8 at the Cox Classic for his third top-10 outing of the season.

He has made the cut in eight of nine starts during his rookie season on the 2005 Nationwide Tour, with two top-10 finishes. Despite limited starts, he had concluded the season number 35 on the money list, with $140,896. In just his second career start and his first of the season, he has finished T13 at the Scholarship America Showdown. After a T59 finish at the Canadian PGA Championship, he had notched his first career victory at the Alberta Classic, with a 9-under-par 275 finish. He has entered the Alberta Classic having risen all the way to number 3 on the Canadian Tour Order of Merit, due to his to six top-10 finishes and five straight top-five finishes heading into the tournament.
