Brendon De Jonge
Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. The game basically originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. The two basic forms of playing golf are match play and stroke play.
Brendon De Jonge is one of the proficient golf players who earned a reputed position for himself at the Nationwide Tour. Nationwide Tour is the developmental tour for the U.S. based PGA Tour, and features professional golfers who have either failed to score well at the Qualifying School to earn their PGA, Professional Golfers’ Association Tour card, or who have done so but then failed to win enough money to stay at that level.
Brendon was born in the Harare suburb of Zimbabwe. As a golf player, he listed a height of 6 feet with a weight of 220 pounds. Brendon’s major thrill in golf was breaking Price's largest victory margin record in the Zimbabwe Amateur event. He was encouraged to build up a professional golf career by his father and brother.
Brendon was a member of the Nationwide Tour in 2004 to 2005. He compiled cuts in 19 of 25 starts in 2005, with two top-10 finishes. He earned almost 108,553 US dollars to finish at number 51 position on the final money list. He slipped into the top 10 in his eighth start of the season, finishing Tied 9
th
at the LaSalle Bank Open with an 8-under-par 276.
Brendon also collected 43,792 dollars on the season to stake claim to the number 97 spot on the final money list with a season-best Tied 10

at the Miccosukee Championship. He had a hole-in-one on number 11 during the third round of the Livermore Valley Wine Country Championship. He also compiled first top-10 finish of the year at the Virginia Beach Open with 275 totals and a career best Tied 4

.
Brendon’s superior approach and dedication towards the sport made him surpass the other players of his epoch. However, he gained prominence only after he won the first Nationwide Championship title in his career and became an international celebrity and a symbol of hope to millions.
