Bradley Hughes
Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. The game basically originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. The two basic forms of playing golf are match play and stroke play. Bradley Hughes is one of the proficient golf players who earned a reputed position for himself at the Nationwide Tour. Nationwide Tour is the developmental tour for the U.S. based PGA Tour, and features professional golfers who have either failed to score well at the Q-School to earn their PGA Tour card, or who have done so but then failed to win enough money to stay at that level. Bradley was born in Melbourne at Australia. He is a 5 feet 9 inches tall contender with a weight of 190 pounds and was signed with Melbourne Football Club to play Australian Rules football. Initially, he worked as a clerk on the waterfront docks in Melbourne before he turned his attention towards professional golf. He was a member of the Nationwide Tour in 2003 to 2004 season and the PGA Tour from 1997 to 2002 seasons. Bradley made the cut in 18 of 26 appearances on the 2004 Nationwide Tour, including eight top-25 finishes. He claimed his first Tour victory at the Preferred Health Systems Wichita Open. He also birdied the first playoff hole to hold off Erik Compton, Scott Harrington and Hunter Haas for the 85,500 US dollar first place prize. His other top-10 finishes came at the New Zealand PGA Championship and the Albertsons Boise Open. Bradley’s best performance marked a T36 at the Louisiana Open, Minimal Nationwide Tour experience prior to 2002. He finished Tied 22nd at the 1998 Louisiana Open in his only made cut in two appearances. He also won third tournament as a professional in 1988 Western Australia Open, and compiled the 1987 to 1988 Victoria Amateurs title, 1998 New Zealand Amateur title, 1990 South Australian PGA title, 1993 Microsoft Australian Masters title, and 1996 Australian Players Championship title. Bradley’s superior approach and dedication towards the sport made him surpass the other players of his epoch. However, he gained prominence only after he won the first Nationwide Championship title in his career and became an international celebrity and a symbol of hope to millions.
