Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. The game basically originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. The two basic forms of playing golf are match play and stroke play. Brad Ott is one of the proficient golf players who earned a reputed position for himself at the Nationwide Tour. Nationwide Tour is the developmental tour for the U.S. based PGA Tour, and features professional golfers who have either failed to score well at the Q-School to earn their PGA Tour card, or who have done so but then failed to win enough money to stay at that level. Brad Ott was born in the Dallas suburb of Texas. As a golf player, he listed a height of 6 feet with a weight of 175 pounds. Brad was a member of the Nationwide Tour in 1996 and 2002 to 2005 seasons. He also compiled a Tied 28th position at the Rex Hospital Open and made cut in eight appearances on Tour in 2005. He made cuts in 16 of 24 tournaments on the 2004 Nationwide Tour, including seven top-25 finishes, and ranked number 36 on the final money list, with 154,146 US dollars. Brad compiled cuts in 12 of 17 appearances on the 2003 Nationwide Tour and finished the campaign at number 79 on the money list, with 58,909 US dollars. Out of his five top 25 finishes, only top-10 came at the Preferred Health Systems Wichita Open. He played Southern Africa Tour in 1995 and early 1996 and won the 1995 Holland Insurance Royal Swazi Sun Classic. Brad also finished Tied 12th at 1996 Philips South African Open at Cape Town, an event won by Ernie Els. He won a tournament on the Golden Bear Tour in 2001, and also won Hooters Tour event in 1995. Brad’s Nationwide Tour victories include 2004 Price Cutter Charity Championship.
Brad’s superior approach and dedication towards the sport made him surpass the other players of his epoch. However, he gained prominence only after he won the first Nationwide Championship title in his career and became an international celebrity and a symbol of hope to millions.
